The Dorchester Trinity Club has a storied past that dates back to the 19th century. Originally established as a social club, it became known as The Comrades’ Club in the 1920s. This name reflected its role as a gathering place for comrades, likely veterans and community members seeking camaraderie and support. In 1967, the club was renamed the Trinity Club.
Throughout its history, the club has been a central hub for social activities in Dorchester. It has hosted a variety of events, from league games of pool, skittles, and darts to bingo and entertainment nights. The club’s atmosphere has evolved over the years, transitioning from the smoky rooms of the past to a modern, eco-friendly environment with air purifiers and LED lighting.

Function Room: Our largest venue, accommodating up to 250 guests in a spacious area measuring 26m x 15m. Perfect for weddings, parties, corporate events, and community gatherings, this versatile space can be tailored to meet your needs.
Green Room: Designed for smaller gatherings, training sessions, conferences, and meetings. Holding up to 40 people in a space that is 11m x 6m, the Green Room offers a professional and comfortable environment for your business needs.
Games Room & Main Bar: The ideal spot for socialising and entertainment. The fully stocked bar provides a welcoming atmosphere, while the games room features pool tables, professional darts boards, and a full-size snooker table available for hire to members.
Our commitment to modernisation is evident in our recent £500,000 refurbishment, which has enhanced the comfort and appeal of our facilities. With a variety of venues and activities, the Dorchester Trinity Club remains a popular and well-equipped venue for social gatherings in the heart of Dorchester.
The club currently has around 800 members who participate in various league nights and events. Membership is affordable, with annual fees set at £7.50 for the first year and £5 per year thereafter. Guests can join for an evening at a nominal fee. Regular activities include cash prize bingo, which attracts a substantial number of participants.
